Allie wanted to design something that would be really easy to make so that you can give it to friends and family and the Fairytale Cluster Necklace is a fun, simple, and creative design to make for the upcoming festive holiday season. Technique Learned: Basic Beading The designer's suggested colors & materials:
  • Hammered Ring 20mm - Silver, 1 Piece
  • Potomac Pearls 4mm - Sand, ~50 beads
  • Potomac Crystal Disco Balls 6mm - Sky, ~5 Beads
  • Potomac Crystal Bicones 4mm - Green Iris, ~8 Beads
  • Potomac Crystal Rondelle 3x4mm - Sapphire Opal, ~3 Beads
  • Potomac Crystal Round 4mm - Champagne, ~6 Beads
  • Potomac Crystal Round 2mm - Blue Iris, ~10 Beads
  • Toho Seed Beads 11/0 - Permafinish Aluminum, ~2 Grams

    Blingy crystals and pearls make this Fairytale Cluster Necklace an exciting addition to your outfit. It’s a great way to use up some of your stash. Learn how simple it is to create this whimsical piece in this PotomacBeads tutorial.
    1.With a size 10 needle pick up 10 seed beads and tie them into a loop around the hammered ring. Pick up another seed bead and then about half an inch of crystals and pearls at random. Sew back up through the beads, minus the seed bead. Create 2 more dangles from the same loop.
    2.Watch the Fairytale Cluster Necklace to follow along with Allie’s step-by-step directions.
    3.Once you’re finished stringing and you have the length needed, add wire guards onto the ends. Loop around the beads and tie a knot and burn off the edge. Add jump rings to the wire guards and put on a lobster clasp.
    There’s no limit to the design possibilities with this Fairytale Cluster Necklace. It’s a fun project and would make an excellent gift.
