    Quick Project Steps

Just as the rising sun captivates with its beauty, so too will this fascinating First Light pendant. This PotomacBeads tutorial teaches you how to bezel this elegant pendant featuring a Potomac crystal rivoli. Using a size 10 needle on about 5 feet of size 6 DragonThread, make a pattern of five 11/0s and one 8/0 repeated so you have 6 groups. Tie the beads into a circle using a square knot. The loop should fit the 14mm rivoli. Sew through the first group of beads, add three 11/0s and bring the needle back down the third bead in the circle. Keep adding 3 seed beads to the third bead in each section. Follow along with Allie in the First Light pendant tutorial to complete the bezel and embellishments of the piece. When you are finished the pendant, use seed beads and a Czech faceted round to create a bail at the top of the piece. Make sure to make the loop big enough to fit your desired chain or necklace. This First Light pendant is sure to catch the light with the bezeled rivoli. It’s easy to switch up the look from a sun to a snowflake depending on the colors you choose. Add some festive colors and you have a beautiful ornament perfect for gift giving. Technique learned:
