These earrings feature the Potomac Crystal Rivoli. IrisDuos and seed beads are used to create the look of the cascading leaf. You will need two needles to begin this project threaded onto the ends of about 4 feet of thread.
You will start at the bottom of each earring and work your way up to the rivoli bezel. The Crystal Cascade earring tutorial will show you step-by-step how to accomplish this.

  • IrisDuo® Beads - Vintage Copper, ~16 Pieces
  • Miyuki Seed Beads 15/0 - Galvanized Gold, ~2 grams

    Preparation: Gather all materials. Cut approximately 4 feet of beading thread, threading a size 12 needle on each end.
    Starting the Earring: Begin by adding 7 15/0 seed beads and an IrisDuo bead, crossing threads through it to start the bottom leaf structure.
    Building the Leaf: Continue adding IrisDuo beads and seed beads (15/0 and 11/0), following the video's instructions to create the cascading leaf effect.
    Adding the Rivoli: Create a peyote bezel with 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads around the rivoli. Secure the rivoli in place at the center of the earring.
    Finishing Touches: Choose between an ear post or fishhook earwire. Secure the chosen earwire, reinforce the thread paths, and trim excess thread.
    Final Touch: Examine your work for any loose beads or threads and make adjustments as necessary. Your Crystal Cascade Earrings are now complete.
