    Quick Project Steps

Want a collar necklace look with very little effort? Create the Gemstone and Chain Collar Necklace with Allie as she shows the way to use seed beads and thread to connect this masterpiece all together. 1. Thread a needle with 5 feet of DragonThread and tie the thread end to one of the chain links approximately 6 inches from the end of the chain. 2. Add onto your thread five 11/0 seed beads followed by an 8mm gemstone bead. Watch the Gemstone and Chain Collar Necklace video to see how to weave the thread in and out of the chain links and how to decrease the gemstone count with each pass. 3. After adding your last bead to the center of the design, weave your thread back to the starting thread. Tie the two thread ends together and burn down the ends. Place an S-hook clasp on the end of the chain to make your design adjustable. Create the classic collar look effortlessly using thread and needle along with seed beads and gemstones attached to a chain. This design can easily be adapted to accommodate different size gemstones, chains, or seed beads. Use an S hook clasp on the back of the chain to make the design adjustable.
