    Quick Project Steps

Cut & Shape the Wire: Cut two 5-inch pieces of 18-gauge wire. Use pliers to bend each wire into a triangle shape by making three bends. Ensure symmetry by comparing to a template or matching both forms. Close the Triangle Frame: Wrap one wire end around the other to close the triangle at the top. Trim excess wire and pinch the wrap tightly with pliers. Make the Loop for Hanging: Use round-nose pliers to create a loop at the top of the long wire. Wrap the wire around itself to secure and trim off any extra. Tie On Beading Thread: Use DragonThread size 6 or 8 and a beading needle. Tie the thread at the bottom corner of the triangle frame. Add First Row of Beads: String a row of 11/0 seed beads (e.g., 13 beads). Wrap thread over the opposite wire side and back through the beads. Add Additional Rows: Continue adding bead rows, decreasing the count each time to match the triangle shape (e.g., 12 → 10 → 8…). Wrap and weave each row as before. Secure Final Thread: Make a loop with your thread near the top of the triangle. Pass the needle through it twice and pull to knot. Burn or trim excess thread. Create Ear Wires: Cut two 3-inch pieces of wire. Use round-nose pliers and a mandrel (or pen) to form the hook shape. Pinch the end of the wire slightly to help prevent slipping from the ear. Attach Earrings to Hooks: Open the ear wire loop, slide the triangle frame on, and close securely.
