Malibu Knotted Necklace Tutorial
The Designer’s suggested colors and materials:
  • Silk cording (Size 6, 8, or 10; Griffin Beading Silk recommended)
  • Mother of pearl beads in green squares and pink rounded discs
  • Faceted table cut button for closure
  • Scissors or pliers for cutting silk cording

    Quick Project Steps

    Attach the silk cording to a needle (included with the cording).
    Tie a knot about two inches from the end of the cording to start.
    Thread a bead onto the silk, then tie a knot to secure it in place. Continue adding beads and knots according to your design preference.
    For a double-stranded necklace, create a loop after the desired length of the first strand and start the second strand.
    Once both strands are completed, secure them together with a faceted table cut button.
    Finish off by cutting any excess silk cording.
