    Quick Project Steps

Mix gemstones, glass pearls, and seed beads to create a very modern, pearl-knotted necklace design. Use silk thread and offset a gemstone donut bead to make a bold, yet classic necklace. 1. Grab a silk thread with a needle, like Griffin silk, and take the entire thread length off the card. Knot the end of the thread and place a knot cover over the knot. Add on the first bead to the thread and then knot after it. 2. Continue to knot on beads and watch the Knotted Donut Asymmetrical Necklace to see how to add on the donut and knot the thread accordingly. 3. Once you add all of the beads onto your thread, knot the ends and apply glue to the knots. Add on your clasp to the ends of the knot covers to complete your necklace. The Knotted Donut Asymmetrical Necklace is a great design to learn how to knot thread between beads. Use a beading awl to get the knots closer to the bead or try your hand at free form knotting without a tool. Use this knotting technique with other designs as well.

At the end of my order, I felt like I was tricked into buying a different brand of seed beads for 16.99. I tried calling Potomac. Nobody answered the phone so I had to leave a message. Since I didn't want those see Beads and I wasn't sure if they would pick up my message before they shipped. I also emailed Potomac. That's situation was handled fine. Just disappointed nobody answered the phone. Took almost 2 weeks for me to receive my order which was disappointing. One of the packets of Beads was short. I know not to call because no one answers the phone so I emailed and asked how they were going to fix the situation. I guess I have to sit back and wait for a reply. Deb Hample
