Spider Pendant Tutorial

This tutorial from PotomacBeads teaches you how to make a wire spider pendant or ornament. This is a great Halloween jewelry idea, but can also be worn by spider lovers year-round. Use your favorite wire and beads of choice to make your own! The Designer's suggested colors and materials:

Gemstones - Flourite Matted Round Beads 10mm

Gemstone 8mm - Amethyst Round Beads

Potomac Crystal Bicones 2mm - Metallic Purple Iris

Miyuki Seed Beads 8/0 - Matte White

Head Pins 3'' 24G - Sterling Silver

Potomax Jeweler's Wire - 24 Gauge

Pewter Bead Cap - Dust Brush

Cut four pieces of 24 gauge wire to 4-6 inches in length.
Use round nose pliers to create a loop at the center of each wire piece for the spider's legs.
Bead the legs using seed beads and crystals to create joints.
Prepare the spider body by assembling a head pin with seed beads, bead caps, and the chosen large and small beads.
Attach each leg to the body, separating them with seed beads to keep them in place.
Finish the spider by making a wrapped loop at the top of the head pin to secure the legs and beads in place.
