Itty Bitty Pendant Tutorial
The Designer’s suggested colors and materials:
  • Drop Duo Beads (6 per pendant, White Lila Vega Luster used)
  • Mini Duo Beads (6 per pendant, White Baby Blue Luster used)
  • 2x3mm Rondelles (Turquoise, Potomac Bead Company rondelles used)
  • Miyuki 15/0 Seed Beads in three colors: Crystal Labrador Full, Opal AB, and Duracoat Opaque Dark Orchid
  • SS39 (8.3mm) Crystal Chaton, Crystal AB
  • Beading Needle (Size 10 and 12 recommended)
  • Beading Thread (Wildfire in green, .006 used)
  • Flat Nose Pliers, Scissors or Thread Zap, Jump Rings, Lobster Clasp (if using a chain), Cord Ends (if using leather cording)

    Quick Project Steps

    Prepare Your Materials: Gather all beads, the thread, needle, and tools.
    Start Beading: Thread six Drop Duo beads and six Mini Duo beads alternately, adding a stop bead to secure.
    Add Seed Beads: Work seed beads around the Drop Duos and Mini Duos to form the base of the pendant.
    Bezel the Chaton: Use 15/0 seed beads to create a bezel setting for the chaton, ensuring it is securely encased.
    Embellish: Add rondelles and further seed bead detailing around the pendant for decoration and structure.
    Final Assembly: Complete the pendant with a loop for attaching to a necklace or cording, securing with jump rings and clasps as needed.
