Gemtopia Necklace Tutorial
The Designer’s suggested colors and materials:
  • 24 or 26 gauge wire (antique brass, anti-tarnish brass, gold-filled, or sterling silver)
  • Jump rings (4 needed)
  • Italian antique brass chain (1.5 feet)
  • Pendants (sunstone cab, preciosa drop in light Colorado topaz)
  • Pearls (approximately 4mm)
  • Hand-cut gemstones (mixed color gemstone strand)
  • Tools: Wire cutters, round nose pliers, needle nose pliers, bead on it board.

    Begin by arranging your pattern and selecting the gemstones and pearls.
    Cut your chosen wire to length, and using round nose pliers, create loops for linking.
    Add gemstones and pearls to the wire, forming eye pins with coiled ends.
    Connect the wire segments with jump rings to assemble the main structure of the necklace.
    Attach pendants to the necklace using jump rings, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
    Finalize the necklace by attaching the chain and making any necessary adjustments for length.
