Elevation Bracelet Tutorial

This tutorial from The Potomac Bead Company teaches you to make our "Elevation Bracelet" design, which uses Right Angle Weave and a variety of beads including two-hole RounDuo beads.

Elevation Bracelet Tutorial
The Designer’s suggested colors and materials:
  • RounDuo beads (Magic Orchid color)
  • Czech fire polished rounds (purple, 4mm)
  • Seed beads (11/0 in Crystal Labrador Full, Amethyst Gold Luster; 15/0 in Opaque Smoky Gray Luster)
  • Cup Button (Aztec Gold) for closure
  • Wildfire beading thread (0.006", green color)
  • Beading needles (two needles recommended)
  • Bead mat, thread burner, super new glue, and flat nose pliers

    Quick Project Steps

    Preparation: Cut about 5 feet of beading thread, attaching a needle to each end.
    Start by adding a cup button for closure.
    Base Layer: Begin with Right Angle Weave, alternating RounDuo beads and 11/0 seed beads, keeping in mind the orientation for elevation.
    Adding the Top Layer: Transition to the top layer by adding Czech glass beads, 15/0 seed beads, and additional 11/0 seed beads to elevate the design.
    Securing the Clasp: Create a loop with 11/0 seed beads for the button clasp and reinforce the loop for durability.
    Side Decorations: Add decorative elements along the sides of the bracelet using a combination of seed beads for a finished look.
    Finishing Touches: Reinforce the clasp area, tie off, and apply glue to secure the thread ends.
