Quick Project Steps

This PotomacBeads tutorial will show you just how easy it is to learn macrame. Show off your carefree side with this fun, lighthearted Bazaar Bracelet.
1. Cut two 40in pieces of cord. Put them together and fold them in the middle and tie a loop at the folded end using a simple overhand knot. Make sure the button can fit through the loop. Thread a seed bead onto all four strands of cord and bring up to the knot. Separate one strand to the left, two in the middle and one on the right. Take the strand from the right and go over the middle two cords. Put the left strand over the right and then take it underneath all the strands and bring it through the loop you created on the right hand side. Pull the knot up to the seed bead.
2. Watch the Bazaar Bracelet with Allie to continue working down the cords with beads and knots. When you are finished your design, take all four strands and make an overhand knot. Thread the button through all four cords and pull up to the knot. Make another knot with all strands.
3. Separate all four strands to make fringe ends by adding a bead to each strand and tying a double knot to hold it on, cut the extra cord.
Learning the creative knotting technique of macrame opens up a whole new world of possible beading projects. It's so fun and easy and takes very little material. The Bazaar Bracelet is a great summer accessory. Make a matching set for you and a friend!
