Crossing Tilas Tutorial

This video tutorial from The Potomac Bead Company teaches you how to make our Crossing Tilas bracelet, which uses your color choice of Miyuki Tilas and 11/0 Miyuki seed beads to create a gorgeous and fun piece of jewelry!

Crossing Tilas Tutorial
The Designer’s suggested colors and materials:
  • 7 grams of Tila beads
  • 2-3 grams of Delica beads
  • 11/0 seed beads in seafoam green luster color
  • Size 10 or 12 beading needle
  • .006 inch Wildfire or Fireline thread
  • 6mm glass bead for the toggle

    Quick Project Steps

    Prepare Materials: Gather 7 grams of Tila beads, 2-3 grams of Delica beads, and 11/0 seed beads. Cut a length of .006 inch Wildfire or Fireline thread and attach it to a stop bead.
    Begin Beading: Pick up a sequence of Tila bead, two Delica beads, an 11/0 bead, two more Delica beads, and another Tila bead. Slide these down to your stop bead.
    Add Fringe: For the fringe, pick up an 11/0, a Delica, and another 11/0, then pass your needle through the second hole of the Tila bead to secure.
    Create the Crossing: Add two Delica beads, pass through the middle 11/0 bead, then add another two Delica beads before securing through the second hole of the adjacent Tila bead.
    Repeat Pattern: Continue adding Tila beads and repeating the fringe and crossing pattern until the bracelet reaches your desired length.
    Attach Clasp: Finish the bracelet by creating a loop with seed beads for the toggle clasp and attaching a 6mm glass bead for the closure.
