Allie is excited to present a bead embroidery tutorial to you featuring the Comet Earrings. Get ready to add to your arsenal of beading techniques when you learn the ins and outs of bead embroidery. Gather up the many materials you will need to create these super solar earrings! Technique Learned: Bead Embroidery The Designer's suggested colors and materials:

  • Czech Rounds 3mm - Pastel Montana, 50 Pieces
  • Potomac Crystal Oval Flatback 6x8mm - Peridot, 2 Pieces
  • Potomac Crystal Long Oval Set 5x15mm - Green Opal, 2 Pieces
  • Miyuki Seed Beads 11/0 - Silver Lined Emerald AB, ~ 1 Gram
  • Miyuki Seed Beads 11/0 - Duracoat Opaque Sea Opal, ~ 1 Gram
  • Miyuki Delica 15/0 - Transparent Root Beer AB, ~ 1 Gram
  • Earwires - 1 Pair
  • Wire Guard - Silver Plated
  • Ultrasuede - Adrimal, 6"
  • Stiff Stuff - 6" In this PotomacBeads Tutorial, you will be using a bead embroidery technique to make these Comet earrings that are out of this world! You will need a variety of materials to complete this project, but the end result will be worth it! Gather up all your supplies. These earrings are created on Stiff Stuff, cut a small piece out and trace around your cabochon. That will be the center of your earring. Tie a knot on the end of your thread and bring it up through the back of the Stiff Stuff on the line you traced. Begin beading, using a back stitch to line the circle. It should take 28 beads. Make another row using 14 beads. Add the cabochon in the middle, it will be held in with the row of delicas. Follow along with the Comet earrings tutorial.
