Quick Project Steps

In this tutorial from PotomacBeads you will be learning how to add beads to the interior of a frame using brick stitch to create these elegant Open Frame Crystal Earrings.
Choose the thread you would like to use, decide if you would like it to show or blend in. Add a stop bead to the thread, leaving just enough to tie off at the end of your open frame earrings. Thread through the Navette crystal and add two 15/0s, bring the thread in a loop around the frame and then back through the beads. Add two more 15/0s and let them drop down next to the Navette, sew under the frame making sure the black beads stay to the front of the piece and go back through the two beads and the Navette one more time.
Watch the Open Frame Crystal earrings tutorial to keep adding beads to the interior of the frame. Add 8/0s to the exterior of the frame using the brick stitch.
Brick stitch the black seed beads around the outside of the frame. Bring the thread back through the beads to a corner to add the wire guard. Then bring the thread back to the starter thread to tie off the ends. You could hang a crystal drop at the bottom if you'd like.
