This video tutorial from The Potomac Bead Company shows you how to make three dimensional beaded pumpkins using nothing but Miyuki seed beads! These pumpkins can be made as earrings, charms, pendants, or beads, and make fabulous fall, harvest, thanksgiving, or Halloween jewelry!

3D Beaded Pumpkins Tutorial
The Designer’s suggested colors and materials:
  • Miyuki seed beads in sizes 11/0 (orange for the pumpkin body, green for the stem), and 15/0 (black for detailing).
  • Ear wires (if making earrings).
  • Beading needle (size 10 or 12 recommended).
  • Beading thread (a few yards).

    Prepare the Materials: Gather orange 11/0, green 11/0, and black 15/0 Miyuki seed beads, ear wires (if making earrings), a beading needle, and thread.
    Start with Flat Peyote: Using orange 11/0 beads, begin with a flat peyote stitch to form the base of the pumpkin.
    Build the Body: Transition to a tubular peyote stitch with the same orange beads to create the pumpkin's 3D body, adding black 15/0 beads for detailing.
    Form the Stem: Decrease the tubular peyote stitch and switch to green 11/0 beads to craft the stem.
    Finish and Assemble: Complete the stem and attach your pumpkin to ear wires for earrings or use as desired for other jewelry pieces.
