Use an arm span length of fabric thread and a size 12 needle. Start with 42 Miyuki 15/0s, slide them down towards the end of the thread and bring the needle back through three of the seed beads to create a circle. Do not knot it so it will be flexible to work with.
Watch Tereza in the Orbit earrings tutorial to see how to create the donut shaped bottom piece using a peyote stitch with the seed beads and superduos. You can complete the earring at this point or use the piece for a pendant.
Thread eight superduos alternating with eight 11/0s and tie into a loop to begin the top component. Add three 11/0s in between each superduo. Step up to add another layer of superduos.
