    Quick Project Steps

Perfect your brick stitch skills while highlighting your left over discduo beads. These DiscDuo Burst Earrings are a great project to use up remaining supplies to create a fun Aztec looking new accessory. 1. Cut a 3 foot piece of size 6 DragonThread and add on a size 10 beading needle. Pick up your discduo bead and sew through the first hole. Continue to sew through the holes adding thread to the exterior of the bead. 2. Watch the DiscDuo Burst Earrings to see the step by step instructions to add on your beads using brick stitch. 3. Add your outer row of crystals and seed beads completing the burst by adding on a wire guard to connect your earwire. After re-inforcing the thread, tie the two thread ends together, burn off the extra thread, and attach your earwire. These DiscDuo Burst Earrings are a fun and simple way to learn how to brick stitch around a bead. The use of a multihole bead for this stitch allows the beads to sit nicely along the outer edge of the discduo rather than fold in toward the bead. Enjoy this Aztec design and create your own by switching out the seed bead and crystal sizes.
