Olympic Rings Pendant/Necklace Tutorial

This video tutorial from The Potomac Bead Company teaches you how to make our "Olympic Rings" pendant, in which you make 5 different rings with circular peyote stitch that are interwoven with 11/0 Miyuki Delicas and 15/0 Miyuki seed beads. If you put this on a chain, you will need to support all three top rings with the chain, so that it hangs properly. Enjoy!

Olympic Rings Pendant/Necklace Tutorial
The Designer’s suggested colors and materials:
  • 11/0 Miyuki Delicas in five colors (Blue, Yellow, Black, Green, Red)
  • 15/0 Miyuki Seed Beads in Silver Lined Crystal
  • 0.006 Wildfire Beading Thread in Frost
  • Size 10 English Beading Needles
  • Thread Burner
  • Needle Nose Pliers (optional, for flattening the thread)

    Prepare Materials: Gather your beads, thread, needles, and tools.
    Start with Independent Rings: Create the blue, black, and red rings using circular peyote stitch.
    Interweave Yellow and Green Rings: Link these rings into the previously made rings, maintaining the correct Olympic colors order.
    Closing and Securing Rings: Seam up the ends of each ring, making sure they are tightly interconnected.
    Attach to Chain/Transform into Bracelet: Depending on your preference, attach the pendant to a chain for a necklace or adapt it into a bracelet.
