St. George Pendant Tutorial

Does the St. George Pendant look familiar? Allie was able to Hubble around a Potomac Crystal Rivoli and later add QuadBow Beads with netting to create a well-known cross-shaped pendant. Inspired by the flag of England, the cross dates back to the late 13th century, and with a new twist, it has been brought into the 21st century by adding elaborate jewels!

    Start with the Hubble Stitch: Begin by creating the center of the bezel with Hubble stitch using 8/0 seed beads. Connect Hubble Units: Connect the Hubble stitch units to form a circular base for the pendant. Add Seed Beads: Incorporate 11/0 and then 15/0 seed beads to build up the bezel around the Rivoli. Insert Rivoli: Securely add the Potomac Crystal Rivoli into the center of the bezel. Add QuadBow Beads: Enhance the design with QuadBow Beads, creating the cross shape of the pendant. Final Embellishments: Add additional Potomac Crystal Bicones for extra sparkle and attach a wire guard if desired. Finishing Touches: Complete the pendant by burning the thread edges to prevent fraying.
