PotomacBeads Tutorial is excited to introduce their shimmering Nightfall earrings! These earrings feature dangling tassels that will add a touch of playfulness to any outfit. Whether you're dressing up for a night out or just accenting your everyday style, these earrings are a great choice.
Gather up your SuperDuos, Miyuki seed Beads, Potomac Crystal Bicones, wire guards and earwires. Tie a stop bead on about 4 feet of thread, leave about 2 inches at the end. Using a size 11 needle, pick up eight 11/0 seed beads, bring the thread back through 6 beads to form a loop. Using a peyote stitch add two 15/0s to every second 11/0.
Step up into the first two 15/0s, add two 11/0s in between each set of 15s. This will begin the dome shape for the earring base. Watch Allie in the Nightfall earrings tutorial to see detailed step-by-step directions.
Add tassels to the bottom of the beaded bead by threading eight 15/0 seed beads followed by a crystal and an 11/0, bring the thread back up through the crystal and seed beads. Repeat the process but with different numbers of 15/0s to vary the length of the different tassels.
