  • Fishbone Bracelet - DIY Jewelry Making Tutorial by PotomacBeads
Do you prefer working with specific colored beads? Tereza loves working with the Jet AB Full color. She has wowed us once again with her Fishbone Bracelet that not only features this color QuadBow bead, but also an important basic beading concept such as stringing beads together using two needles. All you'll need to construct your own version of Tereza's design are some QuadBow beads, Miyuki Seed Beads, a Potomax OvalDuo, and a Potomac Crystal Oval Flatback for that extra shiny touch to top it off!

Materials Used To make The  Project

Designer's Material List

The Designer’s suggested colors and materials for ~7.5-inch (19 cm) wrist:
  • QuadBow Beads - Jet AB Full, 24 Pieces
  • Miyuki 11/0 Dyed S/L Blue zircon, ~2 Grams
  • OvalDuo Gold Plated, 1 Piece
  • Potomac Crystal Oval Flatbacks - Blue Zircon, 1 Piece
  • Cup Button - Jet AB Full, 1 Pieces
  • Step-By-Step Instructions

Prepare Your Materials: Thread a two-meter-long piece of Wildfire thread onto two needles. Start with the Cup Button: Weave three 11/0 seed beads around a cup button to start the bracelet. Stringing Pattern: Alternate between stringing QuadBow beads and 11/0 seed beads, using two needles. Adding the OvalDuo: In the center of the bracelet, add an OvalDuo bead, switching the direction of the QuadBow beads afterwards. Completing the Bracelet: Continue the pattern until you reach the desired length, then create a loop for the cup button clasp. Finishing Touches: Strengthen the loop with additional seed beads, tie off the thread ends, and glue the crystal flatback onto the OvalDuo.
