  • Make a " Gettin Ziggy With It " Bracelet
This video tutorial from The Potomac Bead Company teaches you how to make our "Gettin Ziggy With It" bracelet design. This bracelet design by Allie at Potomac Bead Co is very easy, using SuperDuos, 8/0 and 11/0 Miyuki seed beads, and Miyuki drops (3.4mm). We also use Wildfire beading thread and a cup button for the clasp. This design can also be used to make a necklace.

Materials Used To make The  Project

Designer's Material List

The Designer’s suggested colors and materials:
  • SuperDuos
  • Miyuki Seed Beads (8/0, 11/0)
  • Miyuki Drops (3.4mm)
  • Wildfire Beading Thread (0.006")
  • Size 10 English Beading Needle or Wide Eye Needle
  • Cup Button for Clasp
  • Super New Glue
  • Bead Mat
  • Quick Project Steps

Preparation: Thread your needle with approximately 3-4 feet of beading thread, adding a stop bead.
Starting the Pattern: Add a SuperDuo bead, followed by an 11/0 seed bead, a Miyuki drop, another 11/0, and then loop back through the SuperDuo.
Continuing the Pattern: Repeat the process, adding an 8/0 seed bead between each SuperDuo set for the zigzag effect.
Adding the Clasp: Once the desired length is reached, add the cup button by attaching it with seed beads, securing the clasp in place.
Finishing: Reinforce the thread path through the clasp and the adjacent beads, tie off with half-hitch knots, apply glue to secure, and trim excess thread.
