videos

In this video tutorial from Potomac Bead Company, Allie teaches you how to make a leather wrap bracelet designed more specifically for men. Men often prefer more matte/muted jewelry colors and styles. With this design, you still have a lot of flexibility with specific bead colors, leather color, and cord colors as well. Materials Used To make The  Project

Designer's Material List

The Designer’s suggested colors and materials:
  • 1.5mm leather cord (dark brown)
  • 4mm gemstones (lava stone)
  • Two-hole clasp with space for a bead or chaton
  • 0.008" Wildfire thread
  • Size 10 needle
  • Thread zap or thread burner
  • Super New Glue
  • E6000 glue
  • Quick Project Steps

Cut a length of 1.5mm leather cord double the length of the bracelet plus an additional two inches.
Attach the leather to the two-hole clasp, creating a loop at one end.
Using a size 10 needle and 0.008" Wildfire thread, begin sewing 4mm lava stones between the two leather cords, ensuring even spacing for flexibility and durability.
After adding all beads, secure the thread with knots and trim excess.
Apply E6000 glue to the ends of the leather cord and insert into the clasp. Allow to dry.
Optional: Place a lava stone or desired bead in the clasp's setting with E6000 glue for a finished look.
