Materials Used To make The  Project

Designer's Material List

The Designer’s suggested colors and materials:
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • End Cones (or Bead Cones)
  • Needle and Thread (Fire Line recommended, but sewing thread can also be used)
  • Quick Project Steps

Secure the Braid: Start by tying a tight square knot at the end of your Kumihimo braid to secure the loose ends.
Bind and Sew for Strength: Use needle and thread to bind tightly around the braid’s end. Incorporate a few stitches through the braid itself for enhanced durability.
Apply a Sewer’s Knot: For additional security, execute a sewer's knot by sewing underneath a thread bridge and tying a knot.
Trim the Tails: Cut off the excess Kumihimo and fire line tails to clean up the end.
Attach the End Cone: Apply a generous amount of glue to the braid end and inside the bead cone.
Slide the cone over the braid end to finish.
