  • Slip & Slide Bracelet Tutorial
Enjoy making this "Slip & Slide" jewelry-making project designed by Allie Buchman at PotomacBeads. This Bracelet utilizes DiscDuo beads and seed beads to create a quick and easy geometric design. This is a great beginner-friends beading project.

Materials Used To make The  Project

Designer's Material List

The Designer’s suggested colors and materials:
  • DiscDuo beads (6mm, flat disc shape, two holes)
  • Miyuki seed beads sizes 11/0, 15/0
  • Miyuki 3.4mm drops
  • Wildfire beading thread (0.006)
  • Tulip needle size 11
  • Cup Button for closure
  • Super New Glue for finishing
  • Quick Project Steps

Start by threading a needle with 5 feet of Wildfire beading thread and attaching a stop bead.
String an 11/0 seed bead, a DiscDuo bead, repeating the pattern until reaching the desired bracelet length.
Add the clasp (Cup Button) by stringing two 11/0 seed beads, going through the button, adding a Miyuki drop, and then coming back down to continue the pattern.
Reinforce the clasp by weaving back through the added beads and the first few DiscDuo beads.
Work on the second side of the bracelet by adding 11/0 seed beads through the alternate holes of the DiscDuo beads.
To finish, weave back through the bracelet to reinforce and secure the beads, then trim and melt the thread ends.
