This simple, chic, Sailor’s bracelet is the perfect accessory to dress up a casual look or add a little sparkle to a more formal outfit. Learn how to use Peyote and Herringbone stitches to create this mixed media bracelet.
1.Put 16 seed beads on to size 6 Dragonthread. Pick up another seed bead, skip over the last bead and bring the needle through the next one in line. Pick up another bead, skip a bead and sew down the next. Continue this pattern down the line of beads.
2.Watch the Sailor’s Bracelet to see how Allie weaves the crystals into a beaded bead and adds them to the leather.
3.Measure where you would like to add the clasp and cut the leather. Put glue into the clasp and push the leather ends inside. It’s fun mixing different styles of jewelry together and the Sailor’s bracelet is a great example of this.
Why not make one as a gift for a friend? They are sure to get lots of use out of it.
