Step-By-Step Instructions

Learn how to use a freeform beading technique to create a beautiful necklace in this PotomacBeads tutorial. The Amanda Necklace is a suitable project for most beading skill levels.
1. Put a size 10 or 12 beading needle onto about 5 feet of DragonThread. Add a stop bead onto the end of the thread. Pick up an IrisDuo, three 11/0 seed beads, a Potomac crystal rondelle and 3 more 11/0s. Add another IrisDuo, three 11/0 seed beads and another Potomac crystal rondelle. Continue the pattern of 3 seed beads and alternating IrisDuo and rondelle until you reach the desired length.
2. Watch the Amanda Necklace tutorial to follow along with Marissa as she shows you how to create the pattern used for her beaded necklace design.
3. Bring the 2 thread ends together at the end of the project. Knot them together and burn down the loose edges. Attach a jump ring to each end of the project and add a length of Potomax chain to finish off your necklace.
The Amanda Necklace is a fun project to practice your beading skills with. You will love the way the Potomac crystal briolettes hang down to create a delicate sparkling fringe.
